Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Concept Box Technology, a sole proprietorship based in India (“we”, “us”). They cover your use of freeqrstudio.com, including the QR code generator, the dashboard, short links, the API and paid plans (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them.

1. The Service

You can generate static QR codes for free without an account. Static codes contain your content directly and are generated in your browser; they keep working as long as the content they point to does.

Dynamic QR codes point to a short link that we host and redirect. They let you change the destination later, see scan analytics and use the other features of your plan. Because we serve the redirect, dynamic codes only work while they are active on our Service.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • In a team workspace, the workspace owner controls billing and membership and is responsible for the workspace's use of the Service, including what its members create.
  • Tell us straight away at support@freeqrstudio.com if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service, or any QR code or short link created with it, to:

  • link to phishing, malware, scams or any content designed to deceive or harm people;
  • link to content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or harassment, or infringes someone else's rights (including copyright and trademarks);
  • impersonate another person or brand, or send spam;
  • interfere with the Service — for example by probing or scanning for other users' short links, getting around plan limits or rate limits, or overloading our systems.

We may disable any dynamic QR code or short link, and suspend or close accounts, that we reasonably believe break these rules — without notice where needed to protect people. To report a harmful QR code, email support@freeqrstudio.com with the short link.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you create and upload — your QR codes, logos, labels and destination URLs. You can use QR codes generated with the Service for any lawful purpose, including commercially, with no attribution required. You give us permission to store and process your content only as needed to run the Service (for example, to redirect your short links and show your analytics). You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to use it.

5. Paid plans and billing

  • Paid plans (Pro and Business) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the prices shown on our pricing section at the time you subscribe. Applicable taxes such as GST or VAT may be added at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard.
  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner. Where that partner acts as the merchant of record (reseller), you buy the subscription from them, their name may appear on your statement, and their checkout terms also apply to the payment. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we may pause paid features or move your workspace to the Free plan until payment succeeds.
  • We may change our prices. Price changes never affect a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you by email at least 14 days before a new price applies to your subscription.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Payments are non-refundable, except in the cases set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Free plan and when a paid plan ends

  • Dynamic QR codes created on the Free plan are a trial and stop redirecting 10 days after creation. If you upgrade to a paid plan, your workspace's trial codes become permanent — including ones that have already expired.
  • When a paid plan ends (after cancellation or failed payment), paid-only features are switched off and dynamic QR codes created while on the paid plan are paused: scans show a “paused” page instead of redirecting, and the codes become view-only in your dashboard (you can still see their analytics, export them and delete them). If you subscribe again, they start redirecting again immediately. Static QR codes are not affected.

8. API and webhooks

API access is included in the Business plan. Keep your API keys secret — anyone with a key can act on your workspace. Use of the API is subject to rate limits (currently 60 requests per minute per key) and to these terms. You are responsible for the systems that receive our webhooks.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the Service fast and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that is a core part of a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service itself — including our software, design, logo and the freeqrstudio.com name — belongs to us. These terms don't give you any rights to it beyond using the Service as described here.

11. Ending your use of the Service

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@freeqrstudio.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or if continuing would expose us or others to harm. Sections 4, 10 and 12–15 continue to apply after your access ends.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will meet your needs or that every QR code will scan on every device, printer or surface. Always test printed QR codes before large print runs.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or reprinting costs. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from claims by others that result from your content or your breach of these terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The competent courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
